EPGP Placement details : Batch 2009-10

 

Placement: The Placement for the EPGP participants involves hiring at the lateral level as opposed to the entry level. Therefore the process followed is different and which requires specialized negotiation skills. The institute therefore has adopted a three tier mechanism to facilitate the placement process. They are:

 

(i) Counseling and Career Profiling within the Institute
(ii) Professional Services (with a nominal fee)
(iii) Coordinating with industries and facilitating in the interactions and placement

 

The institute also hosted a Management Meet at Trident Hotel (Mumbai) between 21-23rd of May, 2010 to sensitize the industry on the EPGP Programme of IIM Indore and facilitate interactions between the students and the Industry Captains.

 

For the Pioneering batch of EPGP (Batch 2009-10), the following companies visited/interacted/recruited exclusively for the EPGP participants: Ozone, Nova Medical, CTS, KPMG, HSBC, Wipro, ICICI Bank, VMC, Indegene, Novartis, Crompton Greeves, Hewlett Packard, SV Engg Services, GM, Capgemini, Videocon Mobile, ICICI Lombard, JSW Steel, iDiscoveri, iGate, HCL Technologies, HCL Infosystems, HCL Comnet, Winshuttle, Infosys, Corporate Executive Board, TACO, Max Bupa Life, Tata International, Futures Group, Sony India, McKinsey, Broadridge, Trident Corporation, Gulf Oil Corporation.

 

Out of a total of 36 companies that interacted for recruitment, 16 were for the first time. A total of 338 interviews/interactions took place. 39 offers are made and or accepted while 4 students on sabbaticals from their parent organizations preferred to return to their organizations.

 

The formal placement process for the pioneering batch of 42 students got over by 26th of July, 2010.
