The first batch of General Management Programme for Executives (GMPE) completed on March 26, 2018 with the Valedictory Function.
The function began with a welcome address by Professor Aekta Aggarwal, Faculty, IIM Indore. She noted how the programme was launched, and also appreciated the efforts put by the participants during the course work.
Professor Kousik Guhathakurta, Officiating Chairperson, GMPE; then addressed the gathering. He congratulated the participants for their achievement and encouraged them to use the learning for grabbing various opportunities.
This was followed by Certificate Distribution Ceremony for all the 28 participants.
Professor Rishikesha T. Krishnan, Director, IIM Indore also congratulated the participants for completing the programme successfully. ‘The purpose of this programme was to provide opportunities for better management education to the experienced executives in Indore and around the city. With the combine efforts of Industry Interface Office and MDP Office of the Institute, the programme has been a great success’, he said. He noted that the subsequent batches have already started and will prove to be success as well. Appreciating the efforts put by the participants, Professor Krishnan said that studying at a later stage in life is a bit difficult, however the participants worked hard and rose up to that challenge and proved their capabilities. Faculty members and participants also shared their experience during the programme.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Professor Saumya Ranjan Dash, Faculty, IIM Indore.
