IIM Indore’s IPM Social Committee organized a visit to Astha Vridhjan Seva Ashram on October 8, 2015. A group of 23 volunteers interacted with the residents there and ensured a merry time with elderly. The students prepared parody of songs which was followed by a classical dance performance.
The residents also got a chance to express their talents with many of them singing songs, giving beautiful dance performances and even playing instruments. The students then attended a bhajan program at the Ashram. Students shared some candid moments with the residents at the place, talking and listening to their experiences.
The Social Committee presented the residents with a carom board and some fruits as a token of love and respect. The IPM Social Committee plans more such visits to share their affection and learn from the wisdom of the elderly.
