Under the chain of Alumni Meets, IIMIKON- an initiative by Alumni Committee, EPGP, IIM Indore, another meet was held at Bangalore on July 30, 2016. This was the second meet in a series of meets for 2016-17. Similar to the previous Alum Meet, this meet too focused on building strong connections between the current batch and alumni. The meet saw a presence of more than 35 members, which included alumni, EPGP 2016-17 alumni committee and Mr. Ajay Dash, EPGP Officer, IIM Indore.
The event started with an introduction session which facilitated the members know each other. This was followed by a fun-filled activity wherein the alums shared their best and worst group experiences, their favorite batch mates, their best day at IIM Indore, most difficult subjects, favorite professors, handing various assignments and many more during their days at the Institute. The activity created a moment of nostalgia for all the alum members.
The Alumni Committee then gave a presentation which included longing moments from previous batches and the serene locations of IIM Indore. The presentation also highlighted various initiatives taken by the current batch like the ongoing CXO Guest Lecture series, Bulls and Bears competition, Masters of Table tournament, Mumbai Alumni Meet, HR and Leadership Conclave.
The presentation was followed by the inauguration of the Current Batch Placement Brochure, which was done by the 4 senior most alumni present at the meet.
One major highlight of the event was the message from Professor Rishikesha T. Krishnan, Director, IIM Indore, through a phone call. Professor Krishnan congratulated the alumni for their success and conveyed best wishes to them. The alumni encouraged the current batch, gave them a lot of virtuous suggestions and recommended them to keep on enduring their various initiatives.
