Mercur-I, the Marketing Club of IIM Indore, aims to keep participants abreast with the latest developments and trends in the Marketing panorama and helps to hone the skills necessary to succeed in today’s complex business environment through the right balance of theoretical sessions, engaging events and practical exposure.
Mercato – India’s First Nationwide Online Retail Simulation Event
The inaugural edition of Mercato, a one of its kind online retail simulation event, saw participation from over 600 teams across the country with representation from 12 IIMs. The event put teams in the shoes of the Chief Marketing Officer of a retail chain responsible for critical decisions that determine the success of the outlet in a competitive environment comprising rival teams.
Mercur-i believes in conducting events that test the marketing aptitude of the participants while encouraging them to think on their feet as well as out of the box. A plethora of events are organized over the course of the PGP programme such as Branded (Branding and Advertisement trivia), Pitch Please (Sales), Sportacus (Sports Management), Tag-it (Print Advertising) and Knock Out (Comparative “knocking copy” Advertising)
The Marketers’ Forum- The Marketer’s Forum is a platform intended to facilitate and encourage the exchange of marketing insights and information between participants. It offers an avenue for marketing enthusiasts to discuss and share their knowledge, ideas and opinions on all things pertaining to the world of marketing. Held several times over the course of the year, each edition is comprised of presentations and updates on what’s making waves in the realm of marketing.
Mercur-i actively seeks to bring in industry projects from companies to facilitate professional hands-on experience to participants and to assist companies with marketing related business challenges.

Mark Avenue boasts of a number of sections that cover the whole gamut of the marketing domain from brand analysis, company profiles, clarification of concepts to original viewpoints and perspectives. The online discussion forum fosters interesting insights coming from debate and varied opinions.
Conclave at campus bringing together speakers belonging to different spheres of Marketing. Participants get to learn from pioneers and visionaries in the marketing field to better understand the tools for success in the domain.
Guest lectures and workshops by eminent personalities and companies, to give participants additional exposure into the technicalities and skill sets essential for success in marketing.
