Annual 5-week Faculty Development Programme (FDP)
(3RD MAY 2021 TO 5TH JUNE 2021)
Indian Institute of Management Indore (IIMI) is pleased to announce the Twelfth edition of Faculty Development Programme (FDP) 2020. Aimed at enhancing research and teaching capabilities of management educators, IIM Indore’s FDP is a 5-week residential programme, specially designed for faculty members of management education and training institutes. The programme is managed by a mix of faculty from IIMI as well as guest faculty from industry and other institutions for an intensive exposure to research, teaching and developing cases. The programme duration is from May 3 to June 5, 2021.
The last date for receipt of completed application form is 31 March 2021.
The primary thrust of the 5-week programme will be to equip the participants with contemporary research and teaching skills. Emphasis will also be given to understanding of philosophy of management, design and development of learning resources and so on. The course would contain following modules:
- Module 1 Case and Teaching Skill Development
- Module 2 Research Methodology
- Module 3 Research Skill Development
- Module 4 Perspectives on Management
- Module 5 Area wise specialization elective courses
Suggested readings for each module would be provided before commencement of the programme. Participants would also attend the International Conference on Excellence in Research and Education’ (CERE 2021) organized by IIM Indore.
A potential participant would be a management teacher, trainer or researcher employed in management schools, university departments, degree colleges, professional institutes, training centers of business enterprises, staff training institutes of central and state governments. The programme is especially helpful for participants, who teach management and allied subjects like commerce, human resource and labor relations, organizational behavior, marketing, statistics, operations, economics, banking, finance, computer applications, strategy, sociology etc.
The applicant must have a teaching experience of full time faculty members / PhD students /working professionals with minimum five years of experience as on March 31, 2021
The fee is Rs. 88,500/- (Rupees Eighty Eight Thousand Five Hundred only, Programme Fee Rs.75,000/- plus Goods and Service tax as applicable rates. At present GST rate is 18%). The programme fee includes tuition fee, cost of course material, access to library during the programme, meals and residential facilities on IIMI campus. However, travel, medical, personal, and all other expenses have to be borne by the participants. Participants are advised to make medical insurance arrangements in advance.
There are few seats available on concession to participants who belong to the SC/ST/OBC/PWD categories on a first come, first serve basis. Programme fee for these participants would be Rs. 70,800/- (Rupees Seventy Thousand Eight hundred only, Programme Fee Rs.60,000/- plus Goods and Service tax as applicable rates. At present GST rate is 18%). Participants who wish to avail this concession are required to submit appropriate proof of category as prescribed by GOI rules.

HOW TO ENROLL
Applicants who are willing to participate in the programme have shall enroll themselves or nominate their colleague (s) by filling online application form through application link available on the website. Participants are required to complete the online application form, with relevant details, provide confirmation of fee payment details, and attach a recent resume along with all educational, professional, experience certificate and photograph. Participants willing to avail concession on the application fee should upload relevant proof of category (SC/ST/OBC/PWD) as approved by GOI rules. Last date for receipt of completed application form is March 31, 2021. Incomplete applications or applications without confirmation of fee payment would not be considered.
