The core of the investment banking role is raising money for client. This is primarily done in two ways: by issuing equity and debt of the company. A company wanting to issue bonds hires an investment bank not only to help in structuring the bonds but also to tap the potential investors through their vast network. It works the same way for raising capital by selling equity, or stock. Investment bankers serve as the primary go-to people when a company holds an Initial Public Offer (IPO) to sell stock to the public. The role of the investment bankers includes the determination of IPO price as well.
The Post Graduate Certificate Programme in Investment Banking (PGCPIB) is designed to offer the required knowledge for professional to handle the various aspects of investment banking roles and responsibilities including asset management, security valuation, like stocks, bonds and other derivative instruments to meet specified investment goals for the benefit of the investors. The course also aims to cater the other functional areas of investment banking like Mergers & Acquisitions, Investment and portfolio management and investment advisory services to high net worth individuals. The program also covers the knowledge of tools and techniques required for optimizing risk-returns framework within different asset classes.
The programme provides real time knowledge and skills pertaining to Investment Banking. In short the program will enable participants in taking informed and effective decision in the areas of M & A, IPO’s, Valuation, Bond trading portfolio advisory services etc. and hands-on knowledge and skills to become a successful Investment Banker.
The programme aims to groom commerce or non-commerce graduates for core investment banking and other specialized finance jobs allied to Investment Banking, Equity Research, Credit Analysis, Financial Analysis, Project Finance, Portfolio Management, Capital Markets etc. By undertaking this course one can gain in- depth knowledge on the concepts and real life application of Finance which are covered along with practical case studies. The flexible design of the program will help both full time students and working professionals to pursue the program successfully.
The objective of the program is to educate the participants who are aspired to join the investment management with or without prior exposure experience in the field. The program is structured in such a way that the participants from other stream can acquire the essential knowledge to become an investment management expert. It is designed to benefit executives who have recently taken on, or are being groomed to take on, significant managerial responsibilities in future in the field of investment management. The Programme would draw upon the work experience of such executives and provide additional knowledge and skills, to make them effective investment managers.
Graduate / Post Graduate from Universities recognized by Association of Indian Universities with minimum 50% marks in either graduation or post-graduation (or its equivalent) withat least two years of work experience.
Fresher with professional qualification like CA/ICWA/CS/CFA/CFP are also eligible to apply for the programme.

The completed application forms should be accompanied by a Demand Draft (DD)/Banker’s Cheque (BC) drawn in favour of “Indian Institute of Management Indore”, payable at Indore for Rs. 2950/-(Rupees Two Thousand Nine Hundred Fifty Only) inclusive of GST 18%. 2. Application Screening:
Upon submission of the completed application form,the application will be screened based on the candidate’s academic performance and relevant work experience.
3. Personal Interview:
Short-listed candidates will be invited for a personal interview. Not all candidates are called for personal interview. The personal interview will be conducted through video conferencing at different study centers across India.
The selection to the programme is based on performance in Personal Interview, the candidate’s academic performance and relevant work experience.
This Programme consists of around 150hours ofcourses delivery using information technology platform. The Programme is spreadover twelve monthsduration. In order to supplement, the learning through the technology platform, there will also be on-campus orientation module of five days duration. Courses to be offered in this Programme are as follows:

The duration of the programme will be twelve months.
The Programme fee is Rs.300000 /- (Three lakhs only) plus goods and services tax as applicable. All payments to be made in favour of Indian Institute of Management Indore.
A commitment fee of INR 10000/- (Rupees ten thousand only) plus goods and services tax as applicable is to be paid at the time of acceptance of offer of admission, which will be adjusted against the fee paid at the time of registration. The commitment fee is non-refundable. Once commitment fee is paid, balance fee has to be paid in installments as per the payment schedule given below. It can be paid by demand draft.

An organization sponsoring five or more participants to a VLPE Programme will be entitled to a group discount of 10% on the total fee payable provided that at least five participants actually attend the programme.
Courses will be delivered through on-line mode using appropriate technology platform. Lectures will be delivered through broadband based technology involving two-way audio and video communication. Classes will be held in the evenings and weekends. Participants can attend sessions from the studio located in his / her city or even from office or home if the programme is offered in direct to device (D2D) mode. Participants will be provided reading materials etc. for each course. They may also interact with the concerned faculty through e-mails/ chat mode.
The ‘Post Graduate Certificate Programme in Investment Banking’ will be awarded to the participants on successful completion of the Programme.
