In today’s uncertain and turbulent world, corporate organizations that take a systematic approach to political risk measurement are better equipped to deal with ‘blind spots.’ The unleashing of liberalization, privatization, and globalization (collectively called LPG forces) has led to unprecedented challenges for corporations. Management boards have quickly grabbed growing opportunities for corporations but have turned a blind eye to accompanying challenges. These challenges have been in new forms of state regulations, disruptions in global value chains, growing activism of civil society organizations, and ‘institutional voids’ in emerging markets. Despite these challenges, few corporations and corporate professionals have made the desirable investment in political risk as a part of their overall risk management strategy. Political risk enables analyses of the evolving business landscapes by learning how businesses can navigate unprecedented challenges. Barring a few, most corporations have hesitated to invest in political risk management. The three-day executive education program will focus on political risk management and deal with the applicability of the risks to businesses. With the aid of some recent case studies and a participant-centred learning method, the programme seeks to instigate the corporates to redesign their strategy wardrobes and emerge as sustainable and successful corporate actors.
