Professor Rai congratulated the officers to have the courage to embark upon a new journey by enrolling in CCBMDO. “Just the way you are on a mission when you are on a field, it’s important to find a mission and a purpose in your life as well. This purpose will help you decide what your destination will be”, he said. Mentioning that the mission of IIM Indore is to remain contextually relevant and provide world-class academics, Professor Rai said that this programme will help the participants gain some important management skills like coordination, required in the current scenario while we are entering the ‘new normal’. He advised the participants to be passionate about whatever they want to do in life. “Make sure you do what you love- and if that’s not possible, make sure you love what you do. Be passionate about learning, knowing new things and be curious about everything”, he said. He concluded mentioning that perseverance is what completes the purpose and passion; and only hard work can help a person achieve his or her dream.
Professor Choudhari welcomed the batch and gave a brief of the programme. He noted that the armed forces are one of our most valuable work forces that contribute their highest level of services to the nation. They are self-disciplined, highly enthusiastic, and courageous with high level of leadership ability. “We have designed a challenging learning experience that focuses on real-world problems, solutions and providing new knowledge and tools to face challenges in corporate arena”, he said.
