The seventh batch of Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management (EPGP) was inaugurated at IIM Indore on Tuesday, May 5, 2015.
The Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management is an intensive one-year residential program of IIM Indore. EPGP is specially designed to enhance knowledge, skills and capabilities essential for managing and leading organizations and the programme combines skill building with exploration of good management practices. In addition to a comprehensive functional core module, there are elective courses aligned with the industry concentration identified for the programme such as Analytics, BFSI, e-Commerce etc.
Mr. Kollengode Ramanathan Lakshminarayana, Former Chief Strategy Officer, IT Business, Wipro Ltd. and Professor Rishikesha T. Krishnan, Director, IIM Indore, along with Professor Prashant Salwan, Chair, EPGP, inaugurated the Programme in the presence of the 37 (Male: 31, Female: 6) participants who have registered for it.
The inauguration ceremony began with traditional lamp lighting and Saraswati Vandana. Professor Krishnan welcomed the participants 
and informed them about the Institute and various Programmes offered here. He noted that the participants’ relevant industry experience would make their overall learning experience in the Programme more interesting and would also supplement the case-study methods implemented in different programmes at the Institute.
Professor Krishnan’s speech was followed by a speech by Mr. Lakshminarayana, who noted that with the economy undergoing some fundamental shifts, this would prove a great time for the participants to be benefitted from the Programme. He also explained the participants that the future is not in the knowledge, but the knowledge of knowledge. The participants should make the most of this Programme and the work experience of their learned colleagues and batch-mates, he added. Professor Salwan also addressed the gathering and acquainted the participants with the course, curriculum and schedule of the Programme. The registration and orientation ceremony were followed by Library Orientation, conducted by Dr. Akhtar Parvez and IT Orientation, conducted by Mr. Piyush Trivedi.
About Mr. Lakshminarayana
Mr. Kollengode Ramanathan Lakshminarayana, also known as Lan, served as the Chief Strategy Officer of IT Business at Wipro Ltd. Mr. Lakshminarayana served as Head of Strategy and Mergers & Acquisition at Wipro Technologies Limited until January 2010. He has experience in various functions including Quality, Resource management and Management Assurance and has an in-depth understanding of the various business issues. He served as Corporate Treasurer and Head of Investor Relations at Wipro, which he joined in 1995. Prior to it, he served in a Financial Institution as well with a multinational in chemicals industry. He has been the Chief Endowment Officer at Azim Premji Foundation since January 2011, mostly focusing on funds and financials. He served as Director of Wipro Enterprises Ltd. from January -May 2013. He is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt. Mr. Lakshminarayana is a qualified Management Accountant and a graduate in Management from IIM Lucknow.
