The Advanced Human Resource Management Programme for Human Resource Leaders (AHRMPHRL) began at IIM Indore on July 03, 2021 in online mode. Speaking of the pandemic and the ‘new normal’, Prof. Sushanta K Mishra highlighted the importance of HR practises and management. ‘The AI enabled technology has propelled the HR management to work at a strategic level. This contextually relevant programme will equip you to look at HR from a strategic point of view’, he said. One can always gain experiences, but learning from that experience is optional. ‘It is up to you to keep learning from the experiences and enhance yourself’, he said.
Prof. Subin Sudhir said that the programme is designed keeping in mind the needs of the HR executive who add a lot of value to the organization. ‘Innovation is all around us, including HR practises. It has been challenging for the HR leaders to find innovative ways to engage the employees while working from home and adjusting to the ‘new normal’ amid COVID19. However, this also gives them an opportunity to find creative ways to transform the HR practices’, he said.
Prof. Srihari Sohani noted that this new batch of AHRMPHRL is quite enriching, since 66 percent of the participants are from commerce and arts background, bringing diversity to the batch. ‘Class interactions and discussions play a very important role in learning. You can achieve the maximum out of this course if you are active and share your experiences, and learn from the experiences of your batchmates with amazing work experiences from various backgrounds’, he said. The programme is unique as it lays equal emphasis on explaining the business rationalities in which the role of HRM practitioner is embedded, he added.
Mr. Darayas Mehta applauded the course curriculum designed by IIM Indore. Encouraging the participants to put in their efforts and be enthusiastic about learning he said, ‘If you start the programme with right intent, are positive and put in the right efforts, this programme will be transformational in enhancing your skills’. We should focus on sharing our learning and contributing to the betterment of the society, he added.
