The 24 judges and diplomats from Ministry of Justice, Cambodia who were attending the Management Development Programme (MDP) at IIM Indore from December 23-27, 2019; got a chance to visit Indore city as well. The group is attending the MDP under the ITEC initiative of Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. With an objective to understand the city planning, traffic management and Clean India Mission, the group visited Indore High Court & AICTSL Office on December 27, 2019.
The day started with an informative talk by Dr. Puneet Kumar Dwivedi, Brand Ambassador of Swachh Indore and Group Director of Modern Group of Institutes. Dr. Dwivedi highlighted the glorious journey of Indore becoming the cleanest city in the last four years.
This was followed by a tour to Indore’s Nehru Park by electric bus provided by AICTSL, where the officials of Swachh Bharat Mission Indore and Smart City Mission Indore, Ms. Swati Chauhan and Mr. Abhinav discussed both the projects via power point presentation. The group then reached the AICTSL Office at Geeta Bhawan Sqaure, wherein Mrs. Mala Singh Thakur, PRO, AICTSL briefed them about the city traffic management and the contributions of AICTSL.
The officers also got a chance to visit Indore Bench of Madhya Pradesh High Court to understand the Judiciary of Indore, where they were guided by Mr. Singh, Administrative Officer of High Court.
Dr. Prashant Salwan, President, Centre for Management Development, IARI Indore, talked about starting many such initiatives in future. Professor Himanshu Rai, Director, IIM Indore also thanked the officers of Indore Municipal Corporation, AICTSL Indore and Smart City Corporation Indore for their support.
