IIM Indore in association with TDi – India, organized an expert talk on Design Thinking on February 24, 2019. Mr. Abhishek Joshi, a seasoned product manager, and UX professional was the speaker for the talk. Mr. Joshi provided pro tips, framework, and real-world case-studies on Design Thinking. He highlighted the fact that most of the efforts that go in Design Thinking blindsides the thinkers and often leads to poor and impractical solutions.
There were discussions on how to ask right and relevant questions to empathize better, thinking and designing without being biased, coming up with an organic idea and not an arbitrary one, importance of consideration of disability and concerns for old age people.
The talk concluded with a Q&A. The session was attended by all the students from PGP-I, which provided them a platform to gain better understanding of Design Thinking and thought process as well.
