IIM Indore’s four Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) participants namely, Baljeet Singh Sani, Khadija Vakeel, Nitya Saxena and Rima Mondal; visited China as a part of Indian Youth Delegation to China 2015 from August 20-27, 2015.The event was organized under the aegis of Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India. The aim of the delegation was to create international perspective among the youth and involve them in promoting peace and understanding through cultural exchange. China and India have had largest recorded history and have given humanity some of its most significant innovations in the field of culture, heritage, science, medicine, technology. The participants visited various cities of China including Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Xian and Guangzhou. Culture exchange workshops like Chinese calligraphy writing and visits to manufacturing factory and IT giants like Huawei and Alibaba were part of the schedule. This visit not only enhanced the understanding of culture and historic significance of China but also how China has strategically evolved itself to be one of the leading economies of the world in short span of time.
