IIM Indore is happy to share that the Institute has bagged the Fifth Rank in the National Institute Ranking Framework (NIRF) announced by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India; on April 08, 2019. The results were declared by President Ramnath Kovind at Plenary Hall, Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.
Last year, the Institute was on rank 11, declared on April 03, 2018.
In its fourth year of Rankings, the NIRF 2019 has been released in 9 categories – Overall, Universities, Engineering, Colleges, Management, Pharmacy, Medical, Architecture, and Law. The parameters on which the NIRF 2019 is based are – Teaching, Learning and Resources, Research and Professional Practices, Graduation Outcomes, Outreach and Inclusivity, and Perception. According to officials more than 4000 institutes had submitted their data for NIRF ranking this year.
‘The NIRF ranking of #5 for IIM Indore is a reflection of our ceaseless endeavor to improve continuously. From #11 last year to #5 this year has been a journey of learning, hard work and innovation. The credit for this goes to the entire institution which has worked tirelessly to make this happen. We intend to do even better in the years to come’, said Professor Himanshu Rai, Director, IIM Indore.IIM Indore, with its 100+ faculty members, has worked extensively in research and the research has gone up significantly in the last one year. The faculty member’s articles and researches are getting published in top journals of the world. ‘We are expanding our international footprints and also looking for collaborations with world class foreign institutions. All of these have contributed to our improved ranking’, said Professor Rai.
