Six participants of the Institute won the Hindu Business Line on Campus Case Contest 2017 and bagged the First, First Runner-up and Second Runner up positions. The competition process started on September 29 and the results were declared on November 22, 2018.
The selection process included sending an e-mail with the Word file containing the strategies to grow the Hidesign brand and other marketing plans. The team consisting of Bajla Shafha and Shivani Barnwal won the competition. As per the competition experts, ‘The team made a detailed analysis of the market and the competitive scenario. They present two hypothetical examples to illustrate ways for the Hidesign brand to grow and reach the projected growth target of 25 per cent. The contestants were also clear on the positioning strategy for the brand to expand its market share. Their suggestion for expanding the customer base by launching flanker brands was clearly presented.’
The First Runner up position was won by Rahul Menon and Aarushi. The experts quoted that ‘the team’s analysis of operationalising a multi-brand outlet strategy made interesting reading. The approach to launching a flanking strategy and pursuing targeted customer segments made their analysis compelling and practical.’
The Second Runner up position was bagged by Kabir Jain and Yash Jain. The experts said that—‘The analysis was clear and the team presented a three-pronged approach which was interesting. The presentation on the flanking approach was well thought through.’
IIM Indore congratulates all the six participants for this achievement.
