IIM Indore was delighted to present the maiden “Lifetime Achievement Award for Excellence in Research” to Ramadhar Singh, PhD, Distinguished University Professor, Ahmedabad University.
Himanshu Rai, PhD, Director, IIM Indore presented this first-ever award by the Institute to Ramadhar Singh on June 20, 2021 in the Valedictory Session of the 11th Annual “Conference on Excellence in Research and Education” (CERE 2021). Singh received this award for his basic contributions to the management and psychological literature on cognitive and social development, diversity and fairness, impression formation, interpersonal attraction, intergroup relations, job satisfaction, judgment and decision making, leadership, and prediction of performance during his 53 years in research.
Singh has also been associated with IIM Indore since 2001, and has enriched the knowledge and skills of participants and faculty members by sharing his knowledge of recent advances in management and psychology.
“By honoring Ramadhar Singh, with this maiden ‘Lifetime Achievement Award for Excellence in Research’, IIM Indore celebrates his commitment to and a quest for knowledge of human behavior in organization and society’, said Director Rai. The citation is attached in the appendix.
About the Lifetime Achievement Award
Starting from this year, this award would be presented during the annual CERE to a senior Indian scholar with an exemplary track record in research. The three criteria for the award are that one should (1) have served as the full professor at a premier institute/university for at least 25 years, (2) have made exceptional and impactful contributions to knowledge as evinced by one’s recognition as an outstanding researcher by academic peers and professional associations, and (3) be still active in quality research and publication.
