Mathews Mathews, a PGP student of IIM Indore won the Best Management Student Award at Chanakya- The Management Competition held as a part of the 14th Madras Management Association (MMA) All India Management Students Convocation 2015 conducted in association with The Hindu Business Line.
Mathews, competing with 4100 other participants got shortlisted into the top 10 students, after going through various rounds like the academic resume shortlisting, essay writing, psychometric test, group discussion and personal interview.
In the final round that was held on stage, he competed with the top 10 shortlisted candidates and won the Best Management Student Award along with a cash prize of Rs. 1 Lakh. The final round was presided over by an eminent panel comprising of industry big-wigs such as Kavitha D Chitturi (Executive Director, KCP Ltd), Raju Venkatraman (Founder, Chairman and CEO of Medall Healthcare Pvt Ltd), Lakshmi Venu (Joint Managing Director of Sundaram-Clayton Ltd), Rajan Srikanth (Managing Director of SmartKapital) and CV Subba Rao (Deputy MD, The Sanmar Group).
