Mr. Sudhir Garg congratulated IIM Indore and Nisarg Foundation for organizing the online MDP. He noted that such programmes help in bringing about a change in process, which would help everyone associated with the field to grow, enhance their skills, and earn the knowledge which is contextually relevant. ‘Our history proves that we Indians are known as a progressive country through our artisans. However, with the passage of time, we have lost many skills and are not updated when compared to the world. This programme will help the artisans in finding solutions and generating sufficient money by utilizing the latest technology to bring a change in their own lives and the lives of the rural folk around which they work’, he said. We need to focus on lean practices, standardization of things and ensure good quality. ‘A single negative comment can change the business. Hence, it is important to get proper feedback from your consumers and solve their problems till they are satisfied’, he said.
Mr. Mudgal mentioned that in the current scenario, its important for the CDEs to have the best and updated knowledge and skills to attain profitability and help their business grow.
Prof. D.L. Sunder welcomed the batch and mentioned that the programme will focus on general management, basics of marketing, strategic management, corporate governance, and development of entrepreneurial mindset.
The inauguration concluded with a vote of thanks by Prof. Mudgal. The two-week programme will be attended by 19 participants from agro and non-agro sectors.
