Theory gave way to practice at IIM Indore when the Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) Media Committee, organized their flagship event at the Institute on March 19, 2016. Entitled, ‘Outreach’, the multi-phase competition sought to harness the creative skills of the students enrolled at the Institute, and bring out their PR skills to the largest possible extent. The event was incentivized by cash prizes, and a chance to impress participants and professors alike. The event was judged by Professor Sneha Thapliyal and Professor Ashish Sadh, Faculty, IIM Indore and Ms. Deepti Ganapathy, an experienced reporter based in Bengaluru.
After qualifying through two preliminary rounds, the top eight teams were joined by one wild card entry poised for the final two rounds. The first round required the teams to devise marketing strategies for maligned businesses. The top three then competed to formulate the best launch campaign for a new restaurant venture. The teams were judged on the basis of feasibility and reach of the strategies.
The event and the cash prize was won by team BC++ with Sharad and Nisard.
