As a part of their orientation and giving exposure to the world-class standards in Indian educational institutes, 62 participants from 35 countries visited IIM Indore on December 16, 2019. The participants are attending a training course under Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC), as per approval of Ministry of External Affairs, GOI, Delhi at Department of Management Studies, National Institute of Technical Teachers Training (NITTTR), Bhopal (M.P.). Title of the programme is ‘Managerial Skills for Academicians and Administrators’ which is scheduled from December 09-20, 2019.
The participants got a chance to visit the Sports Complex full of sports activities, Olympic sized swimming pool, squash courts, tennis courts, sauna bath facilities, gymnasium, etc. They then visited the Learning Centre, the Spiritual Garden and the Academic Block wherein they gathered in a classroom. Col. Gururaj Gopinath Pamidi (Retd.), CAO, IIM Indore and Professor Sushanta K Mishra, Dean-Research, IIM Indore also interacted with the participants. Col. Pamidi welcomed the participants to the Cleanest City of the Country—Indore and shared how the Institute focuses on cleanliness and banning plastic usage in the campus.
Professor Mishra then gave a brief presentation about the Institute and its initiatives, foreign collaborations, academic & executive programmes offered and the campus life. This session concluded with a Q&A.
The visit concluded with lunch at the Institute which provided the participants a chance to interact with the Institute staff and know about various facilities at the campus as well. The visit was coordinated by Mr. Ajaya Dash, Officer, IIM Indore.
