As part of gender sensitivity programme, IIM Indore iHelp in association with Gender Champions, conducted a poster making event at the primary school of Pigdamber. The theme for the event was—‘How they perceive men and women in different job roles.’ All the students were quite enthusiastic about preparing posters with vivid ideas and vibrant colours. The iHelp team encouraged the students to engage themselves in more artistic activities and appreciated their efforts in making the posters.
After the event, the team also engaged the students in a discussion breaking the myths and stereotypes regarding job roles. The basic idea was to sensitize them from an early age—and to help them be aware of various job opportunities and choose and prepare for the one they’re really passionate about.
Professor Surbhi Dayal, who mentors Gender Champions as well as iHelp guided the event.
