The second batch of Certificate Programme in Digital Marketing and Strategy (CPDMS) commenced on January 16, 2022, at IIM Indore. The inauguration was held online in the presence of Prof. Saumya Ranjan Dash, Dean-Programmes; and Prof. Subin Sudhir (Chair-Executive Education) and Prof. Sudipta Mandal, Programme Coordinators, CPDMS.
Prof. Saumya Ranjan Dash shared with the new batch details about the various programmes offered by IIM Indore. The marketing concept has brought around a tremendous change in the last few years. Approaching customers and understanding consumer behaviour are vital in today’s scenario. The biggest challenge is understanding and having the skill to use the new techniques in digital marketing. ‘This programme will help you understand the concepts and implement the knowledge in the market to achieve goals’, he said. The programme will provide the participants with a skill set that would facilitate them in taking the right decisions throughout their career in the marketing industry, he added.
Prof. Subin Sudhir briefed the participants about the institute’s academic initiatives and achievements. He noted that IIM Indore has systematically enhanced the programmes’ quality by making the curriculum more contextually relevant and contemporary. ‘We have also attained significant improvements in our rankings both nationally and internationally’, he said. Digital marketing has transformed the way businesses reach out to their consumers and plays a vital role in progress. He added that this 11-month programme would involve case studies, articles, reading, group discussions, and many interactive sessions to help the participants achieve a solid foundation about various aspects of digital marketing and strategy.
Prof. Sudipta Mandal noted that making decisions is based on what you learn. ‘You need to grasp and learn from your peers and beyond the classroom so that you develop an ability to take informed decisions’, he said.
A total of 92 participants have registered for the programme.
