The twelfth batch of Certificate Course in Business Management for Defense Officers (CCBMDO) began on September 7, 2015 at IIM Indore. The programme commenced with lamp lightening ceremony by Professor Rishikesha T. Krishnan, Director, IIM Indore; along with coordinator Professor Bhavani Shankar, faculty members and the participants.
Professor Krishnan while interacting with all the 25 participants registered for the programme, emphasized that learning outside the class is also very important in order to enhance skills and attain more knowledge in management area.
IIM Indore has already completed eleven batches of CCBMDO course and successfully trained about 490 Defense Officers. The aim of this 24-week course is to provide management training to retiring/retired/released service defense officers in order to re-orient themselves towards their new professional life in society. This course is one of the initiatives taken by Directorate General Resettlement (DGR), holding its commitment in providing meaningful training to retiring and retired service officers. It will enable them in finding suitable and appropriate employment.
The inauguration ceremony concluded with vote of thanks and national anthem.
