IIM Indore’s UDAAN 2018 was a success with over 1000 participants from Indore, which included students, industrialists, business persons, children as well as elders.
On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, IIM Indore has been organizing UDAAN, also known as Indore Marathon since last decade. Every year, the marathon is organized keeping in mind a social issue, or a social cause. This year’s theme was ‘Run to Save the Environment’. The objective of the marathon was to create awareness among the people around us, so as to make them aware of the current scenario of the environment globally.
The marathon took place in three tracks—3 km, 11 km and 21 km—all organized at IIM Indore campus itself. The marathon began with a zumba warm-up session at the Cricket Stadium of the Institute.
Team UDAAN had also organized a Flash Mob as a pre-event on September 30 at Treasure Island Mall. The objective of this Flash Mob was also to create awareness about environment and its importance.
The event saw a huge participation and was appreciated by everyone. After the marathon, prizes were also distributed to the winners along with certificates.
