The fourth batch of General Management Programme for Executives (GMPE) was inaugurated at IIM Indore on May 20, 2018. A total of 33 participants registered for the programme. The inauguration took place in the presence of Mr. Yatish Mathur, VP—Operations, Force Motors, Professor Rishikesha T. Krishnan, Director, IIM Indore, Professor Keyur Thaker & Professor B. Hariprasad, GMPE Coordinators and Professor Kousik Guhathakurta, Officiating Chair, MDP.
The event commenced with the lamp lighting ceremony by the guests. This was followed by a welcome address by Professor Thaker. He welcomed the participants and congratulated them for making it to GMPE, as this programme would bring about a major shift in their daily lives.
Professor Rishikesha T. Krishnan then addressed the gathering. He noted that the programme will be concentrated and since the participants have a lot of experience, the programme would able to quickly relate it to the course curriculum. ‘Make an effort and the participants would definitely find the classes very helpful’, he said. He also gave a brief introduction of the Institute.
Mr. Yatish Mathur began his talk mentioning that GMPE is a very unique programme providing an opportunity to the industrialists to take a break from their routine lives and make improvement on your own. ‘India is currently one of the topmost economies of the world and is growing in each and every sector. This is the time to enhance your skills in business management and be a part of the growing developing nation while contributing to the society’, he said. He also advised the participants to keep updating their knowledge and skills with the change in industry, so as to keep attaining their business goals.
The event concluded with lunch for the new batch.
