IIM Indore seeks to be a contextually relevant business school with world-class academic standards that develops socially-conscious managers, leaders and entrepreneurs. Staying committed to its aim, the five year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) requires the participants to undergo a Social Internship at the end of 2 years where the multi-disciplinary exposure to various aspects of management matures the students as decision makers.
The Social Placements Committee is a student body that acts as a bridge between the recruiting organizations and the IPM participants, and is dedicated to helping the students realize their potential as socially responsible leaders of the future. Last few years have seen participants being recruited by the CSR units of reputed organisations like Aditya Birla, Jindal Stainless limited, Reliance Foundation, Tech Mahindra, SELCO Foundation, HCL Foundation, etc. and NGOs like Vitamin Angels, Bharti Mittal Foundation, Design For Change, Lupin Foundation, Goonj, Magic Bus, Quest Alliance, CRY, PRADAN, Samhita, Save the Children, Smiles, Teach for India and Waste Warriors. In addition to these Social Internships, the participants undergo a business internship during their fourth year into the programme.
