IIM Indore seeks to be a contextually-relevant business school with world-class academic standards that develops socially-conscious managers, leaders, and entrepreneurs. Staying committed to its aim, the Five-Year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) requires the participants to undergo a Social Internship at the end of 2 years where the multi-disciplinary exposure to various aspects of management matures the students as decision-makers.
The Social Placements Committee is a student body that acts as a bridge between the recruiting organizations and the IPM participants and is dedicated to helping the students realize their potential as socially responsible leaders of the future. The last few years have seen participants being recruited by the CSR units of reputed organizations like Reliance Foundation, Tata Motors, Vedanta Foundation, and NGOs like Bharti Mittal Foundation, CRY, and Goonj, among others. In addition to this, social incubates like Chimera, Tactopus, UCDS, and research institutes like CIIE.CO, Institute of Chinese Studies, Tata Institute of Social Sciences, and a variety of other organizations, of similar stature, have also offered roles to our participants.
