Sachidananda B S is a Ph.D. and a PGP from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB). His dissertation research examines the nascent phase of entrepreneurship. It explores the influence of social interactions with stakeholders in moulding the venture building process of an entrepreneur. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science engineering from NITK Surathkal.
In addition to researching entrepreneurship academically, he also engages actively with the practice of entrepreneurship. For over a decade, he has been involved with entrepreneurs and the entrepreneurial ecosystem in various capacities. During his doctoral studies, he also worked closely with NSRCEL in designing multiple programs at the center like – the Launchpad, Goldman Sachs – WSP, and IIDC. In mentoring startups, he gets together strong academic training and juxtaposes it with his experience of working with hundreds of entrepreneurs. He has also conducted numerous workshop based sessions for entrepreneurs across different domains and growth stages.
Before starting his Doctoral studies, he was the Manager-Operations at NSRCEL. In this role, he coordinated the operations of the center; and liaisoned with various stakeholders of the ecosystem. The interactions with hundreds of entrepreneurs, helped him gain a firm grasp of the entrepreneurial psyche. He helped design many processes from scratch during the period. Before joining NSRCEL, he has founded a consulting company that worked with numerous SMEs and helped refine their business processes. He also ran an education services venture before that.
