Prof. Dipayan Datta Chaudhuri is a faculty in the economics area. Prior to joining IIM Indore, he was associated with Administrative Staff Collage of India, Hyderabad and with Women's Christian Collage, Kolkata. He was ICSSR (Indian Council of Social Science Research) Doctoral Fellow at Centre for Studies in Social Sciences, Kolkata. He obtained Ph.D degree from Calcutta University on the topic "State Electronics Corporations and Technological Development in India".
Prof. Datta Chaurdhuri has published several papers in reputed journals and in edited books.
His areas of interest include Macroeconomics, Industrial economics, WTO, Public Finance and Econometrics.
Prof. Datta Chaudhuri was involved in consultancy assignments for Soybean Processors Association of India (SOPA), Indore ; UNCTAD , European Commission, Department of Telecommunication, Government of India; Government of Kerala etc. He has carried out many administrative responsibilities at the Institute relating to academics.
