A theory and yoga session on Holistic Development and Panchkosh Yogic Science was organized at IIM Indore on May 10-11, 2018. Shri Lal Bihari Singh, an eminent yoga and vedic scholar and researcher and Director of ICDES Institute, Sasaram, Bihar was the guest for the event.
The ICDES institute is devoted to advancement of scientific spirituality and empowering humanity. Shri Lal Bihari Singh is a well-known spiritual teacher and a researcher of scientific – spirituality and Panchkoshi Sadhana Vigyan. He very lucidly related the Vedic and Modern Science with Spiritualty and Holistic Human Health using diagrams on chalk board. He talked about the Panchkosh, which included five important levels of human consciousness, the elements of energy of physical body and divinities of inner self namely,
- Annamaya kosh (Physical Body)
- Pranamaya kosh (Etheric Body)
- Manomaya kosh (Astral Body)
- Vigyanamaya kosh (Cosmic Body)
- Anandamaya kosh (Causal Body)
He discussed these five bodies with their relation to Physical body as Bio- plasma, Etheric as Bio electric, Astral as Bio-magnetic, Cosmic as Neurohumoral secretion and Casual body as Reticular activation system.
Along with learning about tangible physical health benefits, the participants also experienced a sense of self-realisation and got to know about various intangible benefits and remedies given by him on Panchkosh Sadhna.
The members of IIM Indore community also experienced the practical aspect of his teaching through a yoga session conducted on May 11, 2018 at sports complex. Around 40 participants attended the sessions.
