Professor Surbhi Dayal, Faculty, Humanities & Social Sciences Area, IIM Indore received the ‘Stanley Yeldell New Researcher Excellence Award’ at the 4th International Conference of South Asian Society of Criminology and Victimology (SASCV 2020) at Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The conference was held on January 30-31, 2020 and witnessed 300 participants. She received the award for her paper titled—‘A Study of Educational Status of Balika Grihas of Rajasthan’ and received a plaque, a certificate and a cash prize of Rs. Ten Thousand.
This award recognizes scholars who are relatively new to the field, made notable contributions and shows future potential to contribute to the fields of Criminology/Criminal Justice and Victimology. The selection for this award is on the basis of the quality of the paper submitted by the researcher and his/her previous outstanding contributions to the field. This award is an international award and was open for all the nationalities.
The conference was organised by the South Asian Society of Criminology and Victimology & Raksha Shakti University, in partnership with UNICEF and the Academy of Criminal Justice. IIM Indore congratulates Professor Dayal for her achievement.
