Distinguished Alumni Award
We are proud to announce the next edition of the Alumni Achievement Awards for recognizing and rewarding the outstanding performance of our alumni in various domains.
The 2nd edition of the Distinguished Alumni Award will recognise the longevity and consistency of achievements of the highest calibre over their professional life. Through this award, we wish to acknowledge their significant contributions to industries, companies, and communities which brought honour to IIM Indore by upholding the highest values and traditions of the school.
The nominations will be received up to 1 September 2022.
Eligibility Criteria
- The candidate should have at least 10 years of work-ex post MBA (PGDM)
- Can demonstrate the impact of their achievements over a number of years
- Have received formal recognition from their peers and/or community
- Are an exemplary role model, inspiring leader, or champion for equality
- Are paving the way for, mentoring and supporting the next generation
- Have transformed their field, challenged boundaries, or developed innovative solutions
- Can demonstrate the scale and tangible impact of their work in terms of revenue/ profit/ client acquisition/ generating employment etc.
- Are influencing change or making a positive impact on society through their professional, voluntary, or charitable activities
- Nomination Process
Self-Nomination: An alumnus can nominate themselves to be a part of the awards process with the backing of one other IIM Indore alumni.
The deadline for self-nomination is 1 September 2022, EOD
The applicant has to submit the following documents:
- Profile Information
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- A recent photograph

Nomination by an IIMI Alumnus: An alumnus can nominate another alumnus for the award with their consent. The awards committee will reach out to the nominated alumnus to complete further steps.

Selection Process
Round 1:
The first round of verification would be undertaken by the Alumni Awards Committee which consists of the Alumni Chair, officials of the alumni office and professor(s) who are nominated to the committee. The activity would be supported by the members of the student alumni committee. The Committee will communicate with the nominated individuals for details on various parameters and also collect other information from public sources. The verified profiles would be passed on to the Awards jury for final selection in Round 2.
Round 2:
The second round of the selection process would be conducted by the Award Jury consisting of the director, alumni chair, representative(s) from the alumni association, representative(s) from the industry, senior professor(s). The jury will give one award in the category, subject to the evaluation process.
If a candidate is deemed eligible through Round 1, the merit of his or her nomination would be evaluated with respect to the following illustrative criteria based on the documents submitted during the application process.
- Position (Board of director, MD, Executives, VP, AVP, Head of department, etc.)
- Experience (Number of companies, continents and sectors he/she has worked in)
- Team Size (Number of people working under him/her)
- Reputation of Organization
- Achievements in individual function/area/industry
- Achievements of the business unit
- Notable initiatives launched under her/his leadership
- Other criteria as deemed appropriate by the Award Jury
