IIM Indore hosted 63 school students from the various slum areas across Indore on July 22, 2019. The students are the residents of Himmat Nagar, Bada Bangadda, Shukla Nagar, Shanti Nagar, Azad Nagar, etc. They were mentored by Mr. Roy Thomas, Director of Jan Vikas Society, Palda, Indore.
During their visit to the Institute, they visited the Library, Auditoriums, Sports Complex, Academic Blocks, etc. They also got an opportunity to interact with Col. Gururaj Gopinath Pamidi (Retd.), CAO, IIM Indore; who encouraged the students to focus on study and shared with them the importance of education. He suggested them to also learn from the surroundings and be active in extra-curricular activities, for that helps in grooming self.
The students were very enthusiastic to visit the campus and learn about the programmes and facilities at the Institute. The visit concluded with lunch for the students.
