With an objective to promote constitutional values among the community members, IIM Indore observed the Constitution Day on November 26, 2019. The event began with the welcome address by Col. Gururaj Gopinath Pamidi (Retd.), CAO, IIM Indore. Explaining the importance of Constitution Day, Col. Pamidi noted that people need to be aware of the Constitutional Rules and its history as well. ‘Beauty lies in clearing the ignorance—and hence it’s always a positive initiative to let people know about what they’re not aware about. Observing Constitution Day is a way to reaffirm the faith in the democratic republic of India and encourage us to stand together with integrity of the nation’, he said.
This was followed by the mass recital of The Preamble of India led by Mr. Jigar Kantharia, Officer (Safety), IIM Indore.
IIM Indore Mumbai Campus also observed the Constitution Day. Mass reading of the Preamble was done by 30 students and 12 Staff members. Vivek Yadav, class representative of batch PGPM 2018-20 had conducted a reading for the entire class.
