A group of 20 participants of IIM Indore set up a stage in 56 Street Indore and performed cultural and sports activities for almost 3 hours on December 27, 2018. The event named Jazba saw a presence of hundreds of people, who stopped by to participate in events like tapping the ball, blow the cup, push-up challenge, plank challenge, and many more recreational activities. Many hidden talents of Indore also came up and performed dance, band performance, and mimicry.
The event was held by Ranbhoomi, the annual sports fest of IIM Indore in association with Ministry of Human Resource Development under the scheme of Ek Bharat Shreshta Bharat. Alok and Rohit, Coordinators of the fest Ranbhoomi share the vision of seeing a fit India and wanted to spread the message of physical fitness to every door possible. Women were highly encouraged to participate in the event. The fest, Ranbhoomi scheduled from January 18-20, 2019 has a special trophy and attractive cash money prize for women participation.
Shreya, 34, who participated in Jazba shared—‘It is very good to see college students promoting fitness activities. We all have left even exercising and are confined to our daily works. We all should take part in such activities and express ourselves through sports.’
Ranbhoomi will have 20+ events like football, badminton, tennis, cricket, basketball, chess, strongman, Gym events, squash etc.
