The first edition of TEDx IIM Indore Mumbai Campus kicked off on August 6, 2017 with an encompassing theme of ‘The Avalanche Effect’—ideas that start out small and snowballs into entities of huge significance that they cannot be ignored anymore. In line with the TED motto of ideas worth spreading, the one day event saw six prominent members in their fields speak about a diverse range of topics like mental illness, brand/ product marketing, venture capitalism, artificial intelligence, citizen journalism and over the top content in media.
These included Ms. Anna Chandy, Chairperson of The Live Love Laugh Foundation; Mr. Ambi Parameswaran, Founder of brandbuilding.com and Ex CEO of FCB Ulka; Mr. Ajeet Khurana, Steering Committee Member of NASSCOM Start-up Warehouse; Mr. Leslie D’Monte, National Technology Editor, MINT; Mr. Nandagopal Rajan, Editor New Media, The Indian Express; and Mr. Abhishek Joshi, Vice President and Head of Marketing, Analytics & Content Syndication – Digital Business, Sony Pictures Network India.
Professor Rishikesha T. Krishnan, Director, IIM Indore, Professor Meenakshi Aggarwal Gupta, Chair, PGP Mumbai and Mr. Ganapathy Lakshman Sharma, IIM Indore were also present on the occasion.
The event was attended by all the students of PGP Mumbai along with other students from various colleges across the region. The event sponsors included Raymond Limited, Arrelic, Chaai Centre and Box8.
