The third batch of Certificate Programme in Project Management (CPPM) commenced at IIM Indore on February 06, 2022. The virtual inauguration took place in the presence of Prof. Saumya Ranjan Dash, Dean-Programmes and Prof. Rohit Kapoor, Programme Coordinator, CPPM, IIM Indore. A total of 123 participants registered for the programme.
Prof. Saumya Ranjan Dash welcomed the new batch. He said that the robustly designed curriculum would help the participants understand the tools and techniques to manage the complete project management life cycle. ‘Every aspect of our lives have been impacted during the COVID19 pandemic. Industries and businesses are no exception. During such unprecedented times, the demand for efficient project managers has increased tremendously’, he said. He noted that projects often take longer than anticipated and go over budget. Hence, this programme will help participants manage their businesses efficiently.
Prof. Rohit Kapoor briefed the participants about the 6-month programme. He said that the programme focuses on selecting, initiating, planning, executing, controlling, evaluating and terminating the projects. ‘This short-term programme has been specifically designed to facilitate gaining knowledge to balance the critical trade-offs of time, cost, and scope to meet customer expectations and enhance the ability to apply best practices across various industries and businesses, he added.
The batch comprises participants from diverse domains, including finance, banking, IT and ITES, sales and marketing, management, engineering and other industries.
