Mercur-I, the Marketing Club of IIM Indore, aims to keep participants abreast of the latest developments and trends in the marketing panorama and helps to hone the skills necessary to succeed in a dynamic business environment through the right balance of theoretical sessions, simulating events and hand-on exposure.
Mercato – India’s First Nationwide Online Retail Simulation Event
Mercato, a one-of-its-kind online retail simulation event, witnesses participation from teams from prestigious B-schools, including other IIMs, across the country. The event puts teams in the position of the Chief Marketing Officer of a retail chain responsible for critical decisions that determine the success of the outlet in a competitive environment represented by rival teams.
Campus Events – The club conducts events that test the marketing aptitude of the participants while encouraging them to think on-their-feet as well as out-of-the-box. A plethora of events are organized, namely, Branded (Branding and Advertisement Trivia), Pitch Please (Sales Pitch), Stick or Switch (Auction and Crisis Management, Tag-it (Print Advertising) and Mardi Gras (Quizzing Week).
The Marketers’ Forum – The Marketer’s Forum is a platform intended to facilitate and encourage the exchange of knowledge and insights amongst participants. Held several times over the course of the year, each edition is comprised of presentations and apprises on what’s making waves in the realm of marketing.
Live Projects – The club actively seeks to bring in industry projects from companies to facilitate professional applied experience assist companies overcome key sales and marketing challenges.

Marketing Conclave – On-campus conclave bringing together pioneers and visionaries belonging to different spheres of marketing to share their experiences and expert opinion.
Workshops – Guest lectures and workshops by eminent personalities and companies to give participants additional exposure into the technicalities and skill sets essential for succeeding in the marketing field.”
